Missing data interpolation problems can be conveniently preconditioned by re-cursive inverse ltering. A helix transform allows us to implement this idea in the multidimensional case. We show with examples that helix preconditioning can give a magnitude-order speedup in comparison with the older methods.

متن کاملInterferometric interpolation of missing seismic data
Interpolation of missing seismic data (such as missing nearoffset data, gaps, etc.) is an important issue in seismic surveys. Here we show that interferometry can be used to fill in some gaps in the data. The interferometric method creates virtual traces in the gaps by crosscorrelation of traces in a shot gather followed by summation over all shot positions. Compared to other interpolation meth...
متن کاملCluster-based Algorithms for Filling Missing Values
We first survey existing methods to deal with missing values and report the results of an experimental comparative evaluation in terms of their processing cost and quality of imputing missing values. We then propose three cluster-based mean-and-mode algorithms to impute missing values. Experimental results show that these algorithms with linear complexity can achieve comparative quality as soph...
